Natpure® Xtra Vitality

The Natpure® Xtra range of botanical actives from Sensient are obtained using the patented PhytoClean™process and have been selected to meet market demand for traceable, safe and standardised extracts for the formulation of clean cosmetic products.

The PhytoClean™ process uses sub-critical water, altering the polarity of water to mimic solvent polarities such as ethanol and acetone. This yields efficient extraction of a broad range of biologically active metabolites with no co-solvent use and limited energy consumption.

Natpure® Xtra Vitality is one of four extracts currently in the range and is harvested from rosemary leaves from a "Fair-for life" farm in central Uganda. The alkaline soil and unique microclimate of this farm yields a unique extract with higher levels of phytochemicals than typically found in Rosemary grown in Mediterranean climates. In addition, the farm practices Biodynamic farming; a sustainable agricultural method which is intended to maintain and enhance ecological harmony.

Natpure® Xtra Vitality has high levels of rosmarinic acid which enhances skin’s natural barrier function and fights external aggressions. Substantiation tests on skin barrier function - and urban dust/UV stress effects - clearly show that Natpure® Xtra Vitality restores skin barrier function, increases moisture content of the skin, and reverses the deleterious effects of urban dust/UV stress. It is an ideal ingredient for daily skin care regimes and anti-pollution/stress and wellbeing concepts.
